Caleb is SOOO into this...

It's SOO funny to me how into this pregnancy Caleb is. He was only a little over 2 1/2 when Carson was born, so during my entire pregnancy, he really didn't have a clue what was going on, except that he couldn't sit on my lap as easy to read books, etc. LOL! He would point at my stomach & say, "baby"...but that was the extent of it. He never really paid attention to or noticed babies at all until this last year. He just likes his own little world a lot of the time...haha! Carson on the other hand LOVES babies & is always giving a baby he's near their blanket or pacifier. It's adorable :) Him & Caleb are VERY different in many ways, & that is just one example when it comes to babies and 2 year olds noticing them!

Well ever since we told Caleb I was pregnant, he's been talking about it NON STOP! It's been so fun to hear what he has to say about this baby & what he thinks it's going to be. He INSISTS that "of course it's a girl, Mommy. You already have boys and another boy would be ANNOYING!" LOL!! His EXACT words. TOO funny! After I got done laughing for several minutes, I asked him, "What's wrong w/ another brother??" He insisted that we need a girl in our family and that this next baby "MUST be a girl!" Of course I then tried to explain that God already knows what this baby is and it's name, etc...He was like, "yeah okay mom, but it's a girl." hahaha!! Every time he brings it up, I do try to remind him that whatever it is, it already IS and we'll be happy w/ whatever God wants for our family. :) Another funny Caleb moment: Nate & I got home from having our first OB appt & ultrasound and right when we walked in the door Caleb says, "So what did the doctor say? Is it a girl?????" HAHAHA! He is OBSESSED!! ;)
Ohhh Caleb.....ha!

Here is Caleb on his first day back to pre-school. He LOVES it again this year & has a new teacher, Miss Kara. He really likes her too! He loves making new friends and wishes pre-school was every day...That's when I remind him that next year he gets to go to Kindergarten and that IS everyday. Then he says, "everyday...ALL day?? I'll miss you, Mommy." Awwwww...

We had SUCH a fun Birthday weekend for Carson. Nate's family came for the weekend and we went to the Watertown zoo on Saturday, then had Carson's Bday party Saturday evening. We had a lot of fun & Carson enjoyed all the attention & presents...especially the cake & ICE CREAM! :) I love you, Carson!!!!

Can't believe it!

Some of you have heard me say this a lot lately, but seriously, I just truly CANNOT believe my baby is going to be TWO in a few days!!! It's just NUTS to me! Caleb's first 2 years flew by too & I'm still in denial that he'll be 5 in December...but something about these last 2 years, Carson's little life has just flown by so far!!

Anyway, I also just need to vent about something that I am SOO frustrated about...I'm in college taking part-time classes (online) and right now am on a couple week break btwn when my summer classes ended and before fall classes start on the 31st. Well I knew this laptop wouldn't last forever. Common sense, yes. BUT I wasn't expecting it to just DIE...like, today! :( We thought we just needed a new cord because our lovely (& I mean LOVELY) new puppy got a hold of the laptop plug-in power cord & destroyed it. Well the computer wasn't holding a charge and hasn't since the first week I got it from my sister (of course she never had that problem..ugh!) :( So in order for it to work at all, it must be plugged into an outlet at ALL TIMES. So we ordered (thank you Mike L for finding one on ebay) a new cord & part of me just knew that it wasn't going to work, even w/ the new cord. ARGH. Sure enough, the power light flickered on like maybe it was going to turn on..but nope. Completely dead! Yeah, oh GREAT! So that's my vent. We now have to somehow purchase a new laptop...of course it's the most convenient time of year (back to school, kids need fall clothes, etc)!!! So anyway, I'm honestly just praying that God provides us w/ a new laptop that's one heck of a deal b/c He does know what we can afford right now....We do have a home computer (that I'm using right now!) but it's ANCIENT & basically just a "backup" computer. It's SUPER slow & sadly, if I tried taking one of my timed quizzes or tests on this thing...I'd probably FAIL miserable b/c it would freeze up on me or just keep being SOOO slow...LOL! It's really not that funny, but what else can I do??? I'd rather laugh about it than cry. I kept telling myself today to "get a real problem" :) This is such a small thing, but I guess it seems so much bigger when it's happening, etc...

it's been TOO long!!

I can't believe I haven't blogged since last DECEMBER!! That's insane!! I guess I can use the excuse that I've been "busy"...but really, I have been SUPER busy!! School takes any extra free time away from me, so blogging took a backseat this year! :( I made a little time for scrapbooking here and there, but not so much blogging....

Well, I'll start w/ our new addition, a chocolate lab puppy named Lily. She is the CUTEST puppy I've ever seen :) and so great!! She's already going to be 10 weeks tomorrow! She has been our dog since she was 8 weeks. We got her from some really awesome people who live about 45 minutes north of here. Turns out, the people we bought her from are relatives of a friend of ours--too funny!! It really IS a "small world" around here though!! ;) Anyway, Lily is a GREAT addition to our family and I am thrilled to have another girl around...even if she is a dog!!! LOL!!

This is just one of my fav pics of the boys that is about a month old...They have become such good buddies and I can't believe Carson will be TWO in just one week from today!! He is SUCH a big boy and says absolutely EVERYTHING now! He constantly mimics what Caleb does/says and wants to be just like Caleb...it's adorable! Caleb doesn't seem to mind either :) Some of Carson's favorite things to do are: read books, play outside, ride his tricycle, play w/ the "doggies", go the the park, and swim. Although when we go to the pool he'd rather play in the huge sand area than swim!! Carson is my SHADOW and is constantly still wanting me to "hold you" as he says. He is truly such a sweet, tender boy who is no longer a little baby. I am still in denial about that!!!

Aww sweet Caleb. Caleb is such a fun, energetic little boy. He can play w/ the best of 'em, but also likes to calm down & watch movies & "snuggle" on the couch w/ us :) He absolutely LOVES going to the park, playing outside and catching frogs, bugs of ANY kind, and playing w/ Carsy. He is an avid book worm & loves reading books before naptime & bedtime...and throughout the day! He loves going to pre-school and playing w/ friends. He's learned SO much in the last year & amazes me w/ the way he talks and interperets life. He is such a strong, but sweet little man all rolled into one. He is such a joy to be around...I call him my little Explorer! Nature Explorer that is :)

Oh Nate...I just love him. Good thing, right???? haha :) We celebrated our 7th anniversary in June and decided that it's so nice to still be IN LOVE!!! I am so very blessed and can't envision my life w/o him. What can I say? He's the best! :)
